ESL CLASSROOM CORNER

Welcome to the blog of the ESL classroom. I'm Elena Foncubierta, your English teacher.

This is the new blog you are going to be using in the ESL classroom this year! So, this means most of our activities will take place here. However, you need to stay updated because the blog will have different activities every week, so make sure you check it out. I hope you have fun learning :)

HALLOWEEN CORNER

In this section, we will be talking about the upcoming festivity: Halloween. As it takes place on October 31st, we will dedicate 5' of our lesson. Let's begin with a brief introduction about Halloween:

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, "the night of 31 October when children dress in special clothes and people try to frighten each other"...

Writing activities

This is the writing corner... here, I will be posting writing tasks throughout the course in order for you to improve your writing skills. However, my idea is that you create a blogger! In pairs, you will be able to share your writings, and the rest of students will be able to comment on your ideas too. This way, we can exchange our thoughts and I can also evaluate you.

Unit 1: Climate change

Activity 1:

This first task of the unit will consist on you creating your blog. Even though this is a task you should already know how to do, you need to register on Google and then search blogger. It will ask you for a username, so you can choose anything your partner and you find suitable.
But wait... this is just the intro. After this is done, you need to write about the different ways you can prevent climate change. You also need to write about what you do in your life (recycle, reuse, etc.). Of course, your blog needs to be visual and colourful.
